Nutanix, ThoughtSpot Cofounder Ajeet Singh Launches Different
Serial entrepreneur Ajeet Singh, who previously co-founded unicorns Nutanix and ThoughtSpot, has launched his third venture, Different, an AI-powered marketing technology (martech) startup that has raised $48 Mn (nearly Rs 453 crore) in seed funding.
The funding round was led by General Catalyst, with participation from Lightspeed Venture Partners. The startup has emerged from stealth mode and has teams in San Francisco and Bengaluru, according to its website.
Former Asana executive Abhishek Pani and former PharmEasy chief technology and product officer (CTPO) Abhinav Yajurvedi have joined Singh as co-founders at Different.
Different Targets B2B Marketing Teams
Different aims to help lean business-to-business (B2B) marketing teams manage demand generation through an AI-powered system.
“Different is an AI marketing system that runs demand generation end-to-end for lean B2B marketing teams,” Singh said in a post on LinkedIn.
The startup aims to address enterprise challenges such as hiring specialised talent, coordinating with multiple external agencies and managing different software tools.
Its AI platform is designed to plan, create, execute and scale personalised content across channels based on business context, strategy, target audience and other parameters specified by users.
The platform also learns from campaign results and adjusts its approach to optimise performance.
Before its public launch, Different tested its services with early corporate customers, including software companies Descope and Motif.
Ajeet Singh’s Previous Ventures
Singh is an alumnus of IIT Kanpur and IIM Calcutta. He has previously worked at companies including Oracle, Honeywell and PwC.
