InMobi expands iOS adtech presence with MobileAction acquisition

InMobi has acquired MobileAction, an AI powered platform focused on iOS app growth and analytics, as the Bengaluru and San Francisco based company aims to strengthen its global advertising business.

The financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.

Founded in 2013 and headquartered in San Francisco, MobileAction provides tools for Apple Ads and App Store Optimization, helping app developers and marketers enhance app visibility and user acquisition. Its platform is used by companies including Google, Meta, DoorDash, Square, Zalando, Playtika, and Priceline.

The acquisition is expected to enhance InMobi Advertising’s capabilities across the iOS ecosystem by integrating MobileAction’s expertise in app discovery and performance marketing with InMobi’s advertising infrastructure and its consumer commerce platform, Glance.

According to the company, MobileAction has access to data spanning over 90 million creatives, 6 million keywords, 5 million apps, 100,000 publishers, and 500,000 advertisers. InMobi stated that the acquisition will help brands improve user targeting and campaign optimization through AI driven solutions.

Following the acquisition, MobileAction will continue operating as an independent platform, while its teams across the United States, Europe, and Turkey will become part of the InMobi Group. InMobi also plans to expand MobileAction’s products and market reach across the US, APAC, and MENA regions.

In December 2025, InMobi raised $350 million in funding from Varde Partners, Elham Credit Partners, and SeaTown Holdings. The funding included a $200 million loan at the operating company level and a $150 million loan at the holding company level, both secured against the founders’ stake.

The founding team of InMobi, which operates a mobile advertising network software business, had also reportedly bought back around 25 to 30% stake from Japanese investor SoftBank.
