Vineeta Singh (born 1983) is an Indian entrepreneur, investor, and business leader best known as the co-founder and CEO of SUGAR Cosmetics. She is also widely recognized as one of the investors on the business reality television show Shark Tank India. Singh is known for building SUGAR Cosmetics into one of India's fastest-growing direct-to-consumer beauty brands, and her journey from an engineering student to a successful entrepreneur is considered an inspiring example for young founders.

Early Life and Education

Vineeta Singh was born in Anand, Gujarat, India, and spent most of her childhood in Delhi. Her father was a scientist at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), and her mother holds a PhD degree. Growing up in an academically oriented family encouraged her interest in education and analytical thinking. She completed her schooling at Delhi Public School, R.K. Puram.

She pursued a Bachelor of Technology in Electrical Engineering from IIT Madras (2001–2005), and later earned an MBA from IIM Ahmedabad in 2007. After completing her MBA, she was offered a high-paying job with an annual salary of approximately ₹1 crore — which she declined in order to pursue entrepreneurship.

The brand later expanded its retail presence to over 2,500 outlets in more than 130 cities. Its product range includes lipsticks, eyeliners, foundations, skincare products, and nail products, quickly making SUGAR popular among millennials and young consumers.

Shark Tank India

Vineeta Singh became widely recognized after appearing as a judge on Shark Tank India, where entrepreneurs present their business ideas to investors for funding and mentorship.
