Nat Habit Raises Rs 142.6 Crore in Funding Round Led by Trident Growth Partners

Natural personal care direct-to-consumer (D2C) firm Nat Habit is raising Rs 142.6 crore ($15 million) in a fresh funding round led by Trident Growth Partners, with participation from Bertelsmann, Firstport, Linklight Ventures and other investors.

According to a regulatory filing accessed from the Registrar of Companies (RoC), the company’s board is issuing 22.5 lakh Series C preference shares at an issue price of Rs 633.5 per share to raise Rs 142.6 crore.

Trident Growth Partners will lead the round with an investment of Rs 91 crore. Bertelsmann and Linklight Ventures will invest Rs 37 crore and Rs 6.8 crore, respectively. Mirabilis, Firstport and Dharmayug Investments will contribute the remaining amount.

Nat Habit to Use Funds for Expansion and Brand Building

According to the filings, Nat Habit will use the fresh proceeds for general corporate purposes, expansion, brand building and other requirements. Of the total proceeds, Rs 2.6 crore will be used to reduce the employee stock ownership plan (ESOP) pool.

According to Entrackr’s estimates, the company’s post-money valuation stood at around Rs 800 crore. Moneycontrol reported Nat Habit’s fresh funding in July.

Following the fresh share issue, Trident Growth Partners will hold an 11.44% stake in the company, while existing investor Bertelsmann will hold 17.54% of the cap table.

The filing also states that, before the fresh issue, co-founders Swagatika Das and Gaurav Agarwal each held a 16% stake in the company.

Nat Habit has rebranded itself as Breathe Life, marking a shift in its positioning from an Ayurvedic brand to a broader lifestyle proposition.
