  • Prohibited language includes slang, profanity, discriminatory, or inflammatory content.
  • Adherence to word count:
    • News stories: 300–600 words
    • Feature stories: 1,000–2,000 words
    • Investigative stories: 2,000–4,000+ words
    • Startup stories: 800–1,200 words

Duties of Editors

  • Ensure compliance with editorial standards.
  • Oversee fact-checking and corrections.
  • Maintain editorial integrity and neutrality.
  • Manage content workflow and quality.
  • Support and guide journalists.

Contributor Guidelines

  • Contributors must follow the same standards as staff journalists.
  • All content must be original (no plagiarism).
  • Any conflicts of interest must be disclosed.
  • Gifts or incentives from sources must be declined.
  • Confidentiality of sources must be respected.

Advertising and Sponsored Content

Startup Spotlight India does not publish advertorial content or articles that are biased due to sponsorship. All sponsored content must undergo the same rigorous editorial review process to ensure accuracy, transparency, and fairness.
