Flipkart Launches Micro Drama Offering on Its Mobile App

Flipkart enters microdrama space with short form content on app

Walmart-owned Flipkart has launched a micro drama offering on its mobile app, adding short-form entertainment content to its ecommerce platform.

Entrackr has seen the micro drama section live on the Flipkart app. The company has added a Play tab to the bottom navigation bar, which includes Explore for creator content and Drama for micro dramas.

The Drama section features titles such as CEO Se Romeo, Contract Marriage, Boss Bahu, Ek Ladki Do Insaan, Elayichi, L, KHEER, Mr Aditi, Nakli Pati Asli Crorepati and Ishq Ibadat. The content spans genres including drama, action and comedy.

The app also features performances from actors such as Anupam Kher, Rasika Dugal and Mandira Bedi, among others. Flipkart describes the offering as short stories designed for users to watch during brief gaps in their day.

The micro drama offering is currently available on the Flipkart mobile app. Users can access it through the Play icon and select the Drama section.

Moneycontrol, which first reported the development, said Flipkart has partnered with Terribly Tiny Tales (TTT), Pratilipi and others to produce content. The report also said Flipkart would feature content from Pinkvilla, which it acquired in 2025.

Flipkart Enters Growing Micro Drama Market

Flipkart’s entry comes amid growing competition in India’s micro drama market. Kuku Technologies’ Kuku TV, ShareChat’s Quick TV, EloElo’s StoryTV and EloTV are among the direct competitors.

Mainstream entertainment players such as Yash Raj Films and Sun TV Network have also recently announced a foray into micro drama creation, while early entrants such as Pocket FM have exited the space.

For Flipkart, the move adds an entertainment layer to its app and creates another avenue for user engagement and advertising. Moneycontrol had reported that the company could explore brand integrations and product placements through the format.
