Lavni Ventures Closes Rs 200 Crore Fund II for Deep-Tech Investments

Early-stage VC firm Lavni Ventures has announced that Fund II, its second early-stage deep-tech impact fund, has closed its Rs 200 crore, approximately $21 million, target in committed capital.

The fund reached its target a year after its first close in August 2025. Fund II retains a green-shoe option of Rs 100 crore.

Fund II follows the fully invested Fund I, with both funds built around a proposition that Indian deep-tech founders can develop globally scalable health and climate solutions in a capital-efficient manner while delivering meaningful returns.

With the target corpus committed, Lavni Ventures will now focus on deploying the capital by identifying and backing founders in India working on innovations with global impact.

Fund II Investments

Fund II has already made its first three investments: Padcare Labs, which recycles sanitary waste; Monitra Healthcare, which builds remote cardiac monitoring devices; and Vidcare, which develops portable at-home diagnostic tests.

These investments build on the track record of hands-on, long-term partnerships established through Fund I.

Fund II focuses on foundational technologies in health and climate. It will deploy Rs 2–6 crore, or $210k–630k, per opportunity at the Seed stage, along with Rs 8–15 crore, or $850k–1.5 million, in follow-on investments, fresh Series A rounds and beyond.
