OTPless Appoints Former BharatPe Executive Geetanshu Singla as CTO

Identity and access management startup OTPless has appointed former BharatPe executive Geetanshu Singla as its new chief technology officer (CTO).

Singla has taken charge as CTO nearly ten months after Anubhav Mathur stepped down from the role in January this year.

“I have worked very closely with Satyam Nathani and Tanmay Sagar during my BharatPe days. We have built together, solved some really hard problems together and spent countless hours discussing tech, scale and products. So joining OTPless doesn’t really feel like joining a new company. In many ways, it feels like coming back home,” Singla wrote in a LinkedIn post.

Singla previously served as head of engineering at fintech unicorn BharatPe. OTPless cofounders Bhavik Koladiya, Satyam Nathani and Tanmay Sagar were founding members at BharatPe.

Singla stepped down from his role at BharatPe in 2023. He subsequently cofounded GenWise, a lifestyle app for senior citizens, with fellow BharatPe alumni Nehul Malhotra and Rajat Jain.

GenWise later raised a $3.5 Mn seed round led by Z47, but eventually shut down operations in December 2025.

Following GenWise’s shutdown, Singla worked at Singapore-based wealthtech platform Syfe as an engineering leader for around a year before joining OTPless.

OTPless Undergoes Leadership Reshuffle

Singla’s appointment as CTO comes amid a major top-level reshuffle at OTPless.

Last month, cofounder Bhavik Koladiya stepped down as OTPless’ CEO, with Satyam Nathani taking over as CEO. At the same time, Tanmay Sagar was named the company’s COO.

Last week, Manas Poddar was also elevated to the position of chief business officer (CBO).

OTPless Business and Products

Founded in 2021, OTPless helps consumer internet enterprises offer authentication services through its SDKs and APIs.

Its offerings include silent network authentication, WhatsApp authentication, device intelligence and passkeys.

The Bengaluru-based startup aims to reduce dependence on OTPs, PINs and passwords while enabling enterprises to identify users, prevent fraud and improve conversion during sign-ups and transactions.

OTPless claims to have authenticated more than 30 Cr mobile users so far. Its enterprise customers include Meesho, Navi, PhysicsWallah, ShareChat, Shiprocket and Zepto.

The startup also claims to be clocking Rs 36 Cr in annualised revenue and has been profitable for the past two quarters.

OTPless Funding and Market Opportunity

OTPless has raised over $6 Mn to date from investors including Venture Highway, White Venture, FJ Labs, SIDBI and Piper Serica, among others.

The company operates in India’s identity and access management market, which is projected to become a $1.7 Bn opportunity by 2030.
