Rentomojo IPO: Early Investors Set to Earn Up to 152X Returns
Rentomojo’s upcoming IPO is set to generate multi-fold returns for several of its early investors, with one shareholder expected to clock a 152X return on its investment. Existing shareholders are also looking to offload shares worth Rs 1,106 crore through the offer for sale (OFS).
According to Entrackr’s analysis, at the upper price band of Rs 404 per share, Accel India is set to generate around 8.63X returns on its Rs 317 crore OFS.
Madison India could clock around 7.22X returns on its Rs 96.9 crore share sale, while ValueQuest and Edelweiss are expected to earn around 5.4X on their respective OFS shares worth Rs 109.6 crore and Rs 116.5 crore.
Chiratae Ventures is likely to generate around 4.93X returns on its Rs 194.1 crore OFS, while GMO could earn around 4.24X on its Rs 95.1 crore share sale.
Individual Investors Stand to Gain
Among individual shareholders, Nitish Mittersain, founder of Nazara Technologies, is set to emerge as one of the biggest beneficiaries.
Mittersain’s investment in Rentomojo was his first startup investment. He is selling shares worth around Rs 6 crore through the OFS, which could fetch him around 152X returns based on the acquisition cost disclosed in the company’s offer documents and the upper IPO price band of Rs 404 per share.
Rajeev Chitrabhanu HUF is another notable early shareholder, with its Rs 12.4 crore OFS potentially generating around 26.6X returns.
Rentomojo founder Geetansh Bamania is set to offload shares worth Rs 34.3 crore. Other OFS participants include Japan-based Mitsui Sumitomo Insurance Venture Capital (MSIVC), Pratithi Investment Trust, Renaud Laplanche and others.
