Kiddo Raises Rs 12.5 Crore in Pre-Seed Funding Led by Campus Fund

Babycare-focused quick-commerce startup Kiddo has raised Rs 12.5 crore in a pre-seed funding round led by Campus Fund, with participation from a group of strategic angel investors.

The startup said it will use the fresh capital for customer acquisition, expanding its dark store network across Delhi NCR, technology and product development, and building its team.

Founded by Ankit Kawatra, Kiddo operates a quick-commerce platform focused on baby and children’s products. The startup combines rapid delivery with product recommendations based on a child’s age and life stage.

Kiddo is initially focusing on Delhi NCR and is targeting higher-income households as it expands its operations in the region.

Building Quick Commerce Around Babycare

Kiddo is betting that parents need a more specialised shopping experience than broad-based quick-commerce platforms, particularly when choosing products suited to a child’s age and changing requirements.

The startup claims to have curated more than 30,000 products across baby and children’s essentials, fashion and other categories.

Its model is built around age-based product curation, repeat purchasing patterns and community-led customer acquisition.

“Today, we’re getting hundreds of types of chips and sodas in minutes, yet the sleep-deprived young mothers and fathers in Tier 1 India have to rely on multiple platforms that take days to serve them. These were never built for them,” said Kawatra, Founder and CEO of Kiddo.

“Kiddo’s mission is to help young parents looking to get access to “better” products for their child and fast. We’ve seen new discount platforms come up that offer faster deliveries, but none is truly focussing on curation. Campus Fund’s backing validates our vision of becoming the default platform for every Indian parent,” he said.

Campus Fund said Kawatra’s operating experience and his experience as a parent of two young children contributed to its decision to back the startup.

“Ankit is a founder who puts the customer first, with deep operational experience scaling companies from zero to one. His personal experience as a parent of two toddlers gives him an authentic understanding of the problem,” said Richa Bajpai, Founder and CEO of Campus Fund.

Kiddo is entering a large childcare products market as specialist startups and established retailers invest in faster delivery and more curated product offerings.

Kiddo’s funding comes as more startups build rapid-delivery services focused specifically on parents and children.
