ONYA Raises Rs 12.5 Crore in Pre-Series A Funding Led by Divisa Family Office
Lab-grown diamond jewellery startup ONYA has raised Rs 12.5 crore in a pre-Series A funding round led by Divisa Family Office. Existing investor Zeropearl VC also doubled down on its initial investment following the startup’s Rs 5.5 crore seed round.
The startup’s previous seed round also saw participation from angel investors, including the founders of MyGate, UrbanVault founder and others.
ONYA said in a press release that it will use the fresh funds to accelerate its retail footprint, support digital customer acquisition, improve online personalisation and strengthen research and development focused on product design and manufacturing.
ONYA’s Business and Product Portfolio
Co-founded in 2024 by Gaurav Choudhary and Himani Yadav, ONYA is a contemporary lab-grown diamond jewellery brand that combines art and science to create practical and elegant jewellery pieces.
The Bengaluru-based brand offers IGI-certified lab-grown diamonds set in BIS Hallmarked gold. Its product offering focuses on craftsmanship and personalised designs.
ONYA aims to provide higher brilliance at approximately 20% of the cost of natural diamonds. Its offering is supported by a Lifetime Exchange and Buyback promise.
The brand also has its own patented ring setting, called the ONYA Setting, and a flagship product line, the ONYA Signature Collection, which is inspired by Neoclassical architecture.
Retail Presence and Expansion Plans
Since its inception, ONYA said it has established a retail presence through eight flagship stores across major high streets of Bangalore, Amanora Gold Souk Mall in Pune and Road No. 36 in Jubilee Hills, Hyderabad.
The startup has scaled to Rs 3.5 crore in Monthly Recurring Revenue.
ONYA plans to expand into additional markets through both company-owned stores and franchises.
The startup competes with brands such as Aukera, Limelight, Jewel Box and Fiona, among others.
