OBSESS Raises Undisclosed Angel Funding for Fitness and Sports Platform

Delhi NCR-based fitness and sports technology startup OBSESS has raised an undisclosed amount in angel funding to develop a platform connecting consumers with services across the fitness and sports sector.

Investors in the round included Pushpendra Singh, co-founder of Centricity; angel investor Amitt Goel; and Harshit Vij, co-founder of Freecultr, the company said.

The funds will support technology and product development, expansion of its network of gyms, trainers and sports venues, user acquisition, operations and partnerships across the fitness and wellness industry.

Founded by Tushar Sharma and Yash Kumar, OBSESS is building a platform covering gym discovery and memberships, personal training, sports venue bookings, fitness products, nutrition and wellness services.

Alongside its consumer offering, the company plans to give gyms, coaches and sports venue operators digital tools to manage operations, connect with customers and expand their businesses.

OBSESS said its approach addresses the need to use separate apps and channels for fitness, sports and wellness services. It is also working on AI-driven capabilities for workout planning, nutrition recommendations and personalisation.

“We don’t want to build just another fitness application. We are building a platform that brings the different parts of the fitness journey together, so people can access the services they need without moving between disconnected platforms,” said Tushar Sharma, Founder & CEO of OBSESS.
