The Dough Therapy Raises Rs 5.25 Crore in Seed Funding at Rs 35 Crore Valuation
Gourmet pizza brand The Dough Therapy has raised Rs 5.25 crore at a valuation of Rs 35 crore in a seed funding round led by Michigan Capital Advisors, formerly known as Melwani Finance, with participation from Equiglobe Investment.
The fresh capital will be used to expand The Dough Therapy’s presence in Mumbai and support its multi-market growth strategy.
Of the total funds raised, 60% will be allocated towards expansion, 15% towards marketing and the remaining 25% towards supply chain infrastructure, centralised operations and kitchen technology, The Dough Therapy said in a press release.
The Dough Therapy’s Expansion Plans
Founded in 2020 by Abhishek Dedhia, Mohit Chheda and Gaurav Majrekar, The Dough Therapy has grown from one outlet to 10 outlets across Mumbai.
The brand offers more than 30 varieties of vegetarian and vegan gourmet pizzas.
The Dough Therapy said it has built a mix of new and returning customers, providing a base for its next phase of expansion.
The brand plans to expand to 20 outlets over the next 12 months. It also plans to enter new cities across India with its gourmet pizza offering.
As part of its expansion strategy, The Dough Therapy will use a mix of company-owned outlets, select dine-in formats and franchise partnerships.
