Chapter Homes Raises Rs 63 Crore at Rs 1,000 Crore Valuation

Chapter Homes, an omnichannel furniture and home furnishings brand, has raised Rs 63 crore ($6.6 Mn) in a strategic funding round through a mix of debt and equity. The fundraise values the startup at nearly Rs 1,000 crore (around $106 Mn).

The round saw participation from Bessemer Venture Partners, Stride Ventures, comedian Tanmay Bhat and several family offices. The company said it has also received additional commitments from undisclosed backers for a future fundraise.

Use of Funds

Chapter Homes plans to use the fresh capital to strengthen product development, expand into new categories, and invest in technology and brand building. Part of the funding will also go towards scaling its omnichannel distribution network and establishing its initial offline presence.

“Consumers are increasingly looking for better-designed products, trusted quality, strong functionality and a superior overall experience, online and in store, and we see a meaningful opportunity to build for those needs. That is why we are building focused brands for each category across home and kitchen,” said Chapter Homes cofounder Nitin Chugh.

Chapter Homes’ Business and Expansion Plans

Founded in 2025 by former PharmEasy executives Nitin Chugh, Akarsh Bharadwaj, Shrey Mittal, Dhiraj Jain and Dheeraj Goyal, Chapter Homes is building multiple consumer brands across categories catering to Indian consumers’ home and kitchen needs.

The startup has already launched a home furnishings brand under HOKIPO.

Going forward, Chapter Homes plans to leverage synergies across supply chain, content, technology and distribution to enter adjacent categories such as cookware, home décor and small kitchen appliances.

The company also plans to use AI across cataloguing, demand forecasting, product assortment and customer retention to accelerate launches and control costs.

Other Startups Emerging From PharmEasy

Chapter Homes is not the first home improvement startup to emerge from the PharmEasy network. Earlier this year, AllHome, founded by PharmEasy cofounders, raised Rs 200 crore in a Series B round led by Bessemer Venture Partners.

The funding comes amid continued investor interest in the home improvement and home décor segment.

In August, home décor marketplace Vaaree raised Rs 65 crore in a Series A round co-led by Hero Enterprise and Cap Alpha Ventures. Before that, direct-to-consumer homeware startup HomeEssentials raised Rs 70 crore in its pre-Series B round led by 360 ONE Asset.

Growing Interest in Home and Kitchen Products

The adjacent kitchen technology segment is also seeing adoption amid LPG shortages. Consumers are increasingly buying induction cooktops, AI-powered smart appliances, electric rice cookers and air fryers.

Chapter Homes plans to target this segment as it expands into additional home and kitchen categories.

For now, the company is targeting India’s home furnishings and décor market, which is projected to become a $45.5 Bn opportunity by 2031.
