CoreWeave Partners With AdaniConneX to Build 240 MW AI Data Centre Campus in India
US-based AI cloud infrastructure provider CoreWeave has announced its entry into India, with plans to deploy 240 MW of data centre capacity in Navi Mumbai in partnership with AdaniConneX.
The planned campus will comprise three 80 MW buildings at AdaniConneX’s Taloja facility. The first phase is expected to become operational by mid-2028, with additional capacity coming online in phases.
CoreWeave will be the sole tenant across the three buildings and will have the option to add another 240 MW at the campus, taking the potential total capacity to 480 MW.
AdaniConneX is a 50:50 joint venture between Adani Enterprises and US-based data centre operator EdgeConneX.
CoreWeave plans to deploy NVIDIA’s Vera Rubin platform at the campus through its AI cloud platform to support AI training, inference, reasoning and agentic workloads.
The company also plans to establish an India office and hire locally to work with customers and partners in the country’s AI ecosystem.
“We are investing in the infrastructure, technology, and local presence needed to support that growth, bringing 240 megawatts of capacity, NVIDIA Vera Rubin, and CoreWeave’s expertise to customers building and scaling AI in India,” said CoreWeave COO Sachin Jain.
The Taloja facilities are being designed for high-density AI infrastructure and will feature direct liquid cooling for GPU data halls and a non-evaporative chilled water system.
Adani Group Expands AI Data Centre Infrastructure
CoreWeave’s India expansion comes amid growing investment in AI and data centre infrastructure in the country, with Adani Group pursuing projects with global technology companies.
In February, Adani Group announced plans to invest $100 Bn in renewable energy-powered AI data centres by 2035 as part of its sovereign AI infrastructure push.
In March, the conglomerate was reported to be in talks with Google and Meta to set up data centres in India. These discussions followed AdaniConneX’s partnership with Google, announced in October 2025, for an AI data centre campus in Visakhapatnam as part of Google’s $15 Bn investment.
Uber also announced in May that it was setting up its first data centre in India with Adani Group to test and deploy its technology. At the time, Uber CEO Dara Khosrowshahi said the facility was expected to be operational later in 2026.
In June, Adani Group also partnered with US-based manufacturer Jabil to manufacture liquid-cooled AI racks, servers, storage units and networking systems in India for global hyperscalers and enterprise data centres.
