Scooter Raises Rs 1.5 Crore in Pre-Seed Funding Led by AJVC
Pune-based sales hiring startup Scooter has raised Rs 1.5 crore in a pre-seed funding round led by Aviral Bhatnagar’s AJVC.
The proceeds will be used for its product and to simplify the sales hiring process for candidates and hiring managers.
Founded in 2024 by Kartik Mandrekar and Saumya Seth, Scooter helps startups hire sales professionals by assessing candidates on real sales scenarios instead of relying primarily on CVs.
Mandrekar has previously led sales teams at Gartner, Shoptimize and Graas, while Seth is a behavioural scientist with a master’s degree from the University of Pennsylvania.
The platform sources verified sales professionals, assesses them through real sales scenarios and provides hiring managers with a shortlist of three to five candidates.
Hiring managers can review short video clips from the assessments before viewing a candidate’s CV. One customer has made a sales hire through Scooter in six days.
Scooter currently works with more than 50 companies and has added 14 customers in recent months. The startup has also built a pool of over 10,000 sales candidates.
The investment marks AJVC’s first investment in a Pune-based startup. AJVC is a pre-seed fund led by Aviral Bhatnagar.
Scooter is focused on helping startups and sales teams reduce the time involved in finding and evaluating sales candidates.
