Blinkit Leads Quick Commerce in Product Availability With 94.4% In-Stock Rate: Bernstein
Eternal’s quick commerce arm Blinkit has emerged as the leader in product availability among India’s major quick-commerce platforms, with an average in-stock rate of 94.4%, according to a report by brokerage firm Bernstein.
Flipkart Minutes ranked second with 88.7% product availability, followed by Swiggy Instamart at 83.8% and Zepto at 82.5%.
Bernstein conducted the study across 150 stock-keeping units (SKUs), covering grocery, fresh and non-grocery categories. The analysis tracked product availability over 10 days, across seven time slots per day and at least three PIN codes each in Mumbai, Gurugram and Bengaluru.

Blinkit Maintains Higher Stock Availability
The report noted that Blinkit maintained consistent stock availability across days and time slots. Its availability remained around 94-95% throughout the observation period.
In comparison, Instamart and Zepto recorded sharper fluctuations, with availability falling below 80% at certain intervals.
Instamart recorded the sharpest decline in product availability as the day progressed, at 11%, followed by Zepto at 6%. Blinkit and Flipkart Minutes recorded the lowest decline at 5% each.
Bernstein attributed Instamart’s higher decline to challenges in demand forecasting and inventory replenishment.
According to Bernstein, product availability is emerging as a key competitive differentiator in India’s quick-commerce market, where platforms have traditionally competed on delivery speed and pricing.
The report noted that maintaining high availability requires effective demand forecasting, dark-store management, reliable procurement and logistics operations.
Bernstein believes Blinkit’s operational advantage could improve customer retention and reduce churn, as customers increasingly prefer platforms that can fulfil their entire shopping baskets.
Quick Commerce Revenue
On the financial front, Blinkit reported revenue of Rs 15,664 crore in Q1 FY27, while Swiggy Instamart recorded Rs 1,232 crore during the quarter.
Zepto, meanwhile, posted revenue of Rs 22,624 crore in FY26.
Blinkit and Zepto follow inventory-led models, while Instamart primarily operates under a marketplace model, resulting in differences in revenue recognition.
