Razorpay Partners With OpenAI to Help Brands Run Ads on ChatGPT in India

Razorpay has partnered with OpenAI to help Indian brands advertise on ChatGPT through its growth marketing platform Razorpay Engage.

Under the partnership, Razorpay Engage will help businesses prepare product catalogues, structure product feeds, launch campaigns and track the performance of their ChatGPT Ads campaigns.

Early participants include Fastrack, Traya, Tata Neu, Rivaah by Tanishq, Shaadi.com, Axis Max Life, Tanishq, Palmonas and Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies (NMIMS), according to Razorpay.

The platform will also use an AI agent based on ChatGPT Ads best practices to create and manage campaigns across different contexts, the company said.

The agent will monitor campaign performance and make adjustments, while Razorpay Engage’s team will provide human oversight.

“ChatGPT is changing how people discover products and make decisions. Instead of searching through a fixed set of options, people can describe what they need, explore possibilities, and refine their choices through conversation,” Nitin Bawankule, head of enterprise sales, India, OpenAI, said.

Razorpay COO Rahul Kothari said the partnership will allow businesses to test ChatGPT Ads without having to build the required expertise from scratch.

The partnership comes as OpenAI expands ChatGPT Ads in India, with businesses looking to reach consumers through conversational product discovery.

Razorpay said Engage will help brands manage the operational requirements involved in the new advertising channel.
