Aman Gupta’s Off Beat raises Rs 100 Cr led by Bessemer
Quick Summary

Aman Gupta, co-founder of boAt, has raised ₹100 crore in seed funding for his new venture, Off Beat. The round was led by Bessemer Venture Partners, highlighting strong investor confidence in founders with proven track records.

Off Beat is positioned as a content and creator-driven platform, expected to leverage technology and AI, though detailed business plans are yet to be revealed.

Speaking about the funding, Gupta stressed the importance of strategic partnerships over just capital. He noted that after building a company from scratch before, he now values partners with a global outlook who can help unlock opportunities in technology and AI.

He also pointed to Bessemer’s global investment portfolio, which includes companies like Anthropic, Shopify, Canva, and LinkedIn.

While the valuation has not been officially disclosed, reports suggest Off Beat is valued at around ₹450 crore in this seed round.

This marks Gupta’s second entrepreneurial venture after boAt, which scaled beyond ₹3,000 crore in revenue while remaining profitable. The quick fundraise—within a month of launch—signals strong investor belief in his ability to build and scale consumer-focused businesses.

The launch also comes as Gupta gradually shifts away from day-to-day operations at boAt, which has recently seen leadership transitions and delays in its IPO plans.

Beyond entrepreneurship, Gupta has invested in over 100 startups through his role on Shark Tank India and personal investments. His move into the content space reflects a broader trend of founders building ventures driven by personal branding and creator ecosystems.
